International Food Fair Brainstorming (February 23, 2015)

The group gathered after the end of the class to further develop previously discussed ideas, and plans regarding the International Food fair activity. The budget plan was proposed to be made before 26th of February for all groups, so that the budget manager will have some time to review and transfer the budget situation to the international office.

Our group has been discussing the variety of food that we will present in the International Food Fair. The wide range of national backgrounds, present in our campus  as well as  our own group, prompted us to consider representing , our native  food specialties and cultures. The plan seems quite interesting, however executing the project plan essentials such as considering the budget allowance for this activity is troublesome. The group came up with the idea to first find a local restaurant or catering company that accept order in a discounted or affordable price and second options will be cooking the food by our own.  Some group participants showed their willingness to cook their own food, while others will purchase the ingredients. Those are the ideas the group members will research during the week, before the next meeting.

Our group estimated a 100 person participation rate, in the International Food Fair event, that will include Laurea Faculty members, International visitors and some Laurea students. Monday event expenses will be calculated with the above in mind.
